Nomad Goes North

This past week I took a trip. I started off in Philadelphia on Wednesday, followed closely by NYC on Thursday, and Boston Friday & Saturday. There were many reasons for my taking this short trip to the north, the most important of which being my visit to Boston Conservatory on Friday for their open house. But I will spread out the events of that week over many posts including photos from the Ten rolls of film used over those four days. On Wednesday I woke up bright and early to catch my flight into Philly. Once I arrived I went straight to Spruce Street Espresso to spend some quality time with my Spruce Street family. I then met up with Paige, and then Spencer. That afternoon Atto, the Choy's, and I all went to dinner at Penang (our favorite place to eat in Chinatown Philly). I then went to Wawa with Spence, Jordan, & Drew. And as is tradition we ate our food on the Jefferson Medical School campus before wandering back home. The night was finished when I became far too sleepy and wandered up to my good friend Paige's room where a top bunk was calling my name.

Big Bend National Park in Texas

Upon returning to Texas, my father and I decided to follow through with our plans to go camping at Big Bend national park. While a long journey from home, the trip was well worth it. It's a beautiful place, and I recommend it to everyone. We were fortunate enough to stay the night, and experience the stunning sunsets of Big Bend. I had a great time, and got some really nice landscape photographs. I'm no Ansel Adams, but I think they turned out pleasantly enough. 

This is just the digital photos, later on this month I'll post my scans from the film shots I got. (Much better I'm hoping)

A Brief Word

    I simply wanted to say good morning to you all. I had a wonderful day in Boston yesterday, took many pictures, explored the BoCo campus, and met some important people. Today is the day of my audition here at the Boston Conservatory, and it will be fantastic! I will also be checking out of my hotel room, and eventually making my way onto a train this afternoon bound for Philadelphia. Because of this I'm not sure if I'll get a chance to post anything until I arrive. So wish me lucky everyone!

In the Departure Line

    Good morning everyone. It is currently 8:49 here in Orlando Florida as I wait in the Delta gate for my flight. Earlier, while passing through security, I found out how much TSA security gets scared when they see a Hasselblad Camera. They had no idea what it was and had to inspect it. I laughed the whole way through. While waiting here at my gate I snapped some shots with the Hassy, and found my fellow travelers to be equally as confused as TSA. It has become apparent to me that the Hasselblad 500C/M is not only intimidating to amateur photographers, but to the general public.

Nomadic Pilgrimage: Boston to Philadelphia

      Tomorrow I leave for Boston. I then spend Friday & Saturday in boston and take the train that afternoon to Philadelphia arriving in Philly at around 1:30AM. I will be staying at the Park Plaza Hotel in Boston, at the end of Newburry street, if anyone happens to be around. My time in Philadelphia will come to an end most likely Friday when I'll saunter on back to Florida just in time for Stetson University auditions that Saturday.
